An Overview of the Project

Shengli Oil field is the largest oil and gas field of China Petrochemical Group co., LTD (Sinopec). It possesses a potential area of 180.9 thousand square kilometers, where the total petroleum resources are 14.2 billion tons and the total gas resources are 2153.8 billion steres. By the end of 2013, 80 oil fields had been prospected, which harbored 5.304 billion tons of oil in place; 74 oil fields had been developed, which produced 27 million tons petroleum each year; the accumulative production of crude oil was 1.072 billion tons, while the accumulative production of natural gas was 55.208 billion steres. Sinopec ranked the fourth in the 2013 Fortune Global 500 firms.

In order to manage the whole process of petroleum production and to assist the supervision in real time, a production and management system is in urgent need.

In order to realize a smart management over logistics of the supply chain, a management system, which supervises the whole process of transportation and the material flow, needs to be established.

Solutions to the System Deployment

Applied Architecture

The production and management system for Shengli Oil field mainly comprises 3 layers, i.e. the application layer, the transmission layer, and the sensing layer.

Profits

This successful project is the first time that home-made mainframe is used in energy industry. After the management system has put into use, a management system, which supervises the whole process of transportation and the material flow, has been established, realizing a smart management over logistics of the supply chain and thus enhancing the corporation's operation efficiency.
