Inspur attended the Second Belt and Road Forum (BRF) for International Cooperation


During April 25-26, the Second Belt and Road Forum (BRF) for International Cooperation was held in Beijing. China’s president Xi Jinping attended the opening ceremony of the forum and delivered a keynote speech. Peter Sun, chairman and CEO of Inspur Group attended the forum’s opening ceremony and made a speech titled Build Smart Cities along the Digital Silk Road.

This BRF gathered leaders and government officials from more than 37 countries, senior representatives from France, Germany, Britain, Spain, Japan, Korea and EU, and presidents of UN and IMF. The forum will also be attended by nearly 5000 foreign guests from over 150 countries and 90 international organizations, covering all five continents.


  Chairman Sun delivered a keynote speech

In his speech, Chairman Sun pointed out that in the past two decades, urbanization has injected a strong impetus into China’s economic development. Today, driven by new technological revolution and urbanization, the construction of smart cities will provide new impetus to for China and even the all world by improving urban services and public governance and boosting the growth of global innovative industries. And the application of cloud computing, big data, 5G and AI makes smart cites even more possible. After several years’ construction, China has gained rich experience in constructing smart cities. In April 2019, Jinan’s smart city of spring, built by Inspur, was selected Top 10 Smart City Sample Projects in China, a model for B&R countries and regions.

By focusing on the concept and practice of smart city construction, believes Chairman Sun, urban infrastructure around the world has been through smart upgrading and faced new opportunities. Cloud computing, government data convergence, public service portal, smart city operation and smart ecosystem are five elements for the construction and operation of new smart cites, playing an important role in improving public service ability, urban development quality and bearing ability of B&R countries. With the gradual realization of data sharing and connectivity of smart cities, people, things and information will also quickly converge. Smart city construction will not only serve urban development, but also combine technologies and industries to implement digital economy projects and local industrial upgrading, making flow advanced power and productive elements along belt and road. 

Since the Belt and Road initiative, Inspur has joined forces with the world's leading technology companies to provide total solutions for products, technologies, solutions and capital. the company launched the Smart City Alliance to join hands with IBM, Cisco, Ericsson and Diebold Nixdorf. Together with local partners, Inspur is involved in the construction of the Belt and Road Smart City in five areas: smart city, smart taxation, smart food, smart finance, and smart education. At the same time, Inspur is also actively exploring new digital business models, providing computing support and cloud services by building a global cloud service operation center.


  Inspur signed cooperation agreement with TTC (Transtelecom) Joint Stock Company, Kazakhstan


During the conference, Inspur also signed an cooperation agreement with TTC (Transtelecom) Joint Stock Company, Kazakhstan. The two sides will jointly promote the construction of the data center in Kazakhstan, boosting the implementation of the ‘Digital Kazakhstan’ plan and providing computational support for the development of the local digital economy.
